Lubna Salim plays Paroma...
Paroma lives at Umeed Bhavan but has a strong air of supremacy about her. She is extremely efficient at her work but is a woman of strong likes and dislikes. She is arrogant and snooty but at the same time has an inherent need to be accepted by all. She constantly looks down upon all men and is always getting into fights with her roommate Sundari whom she considers too juvenile .
Speaking about her new role, Lubna says, “I was scared for doing the role in Ek Packet Umeed initially. People also asked me why I am doing this show but I took the role up as a challenge as it has grey shades. The entire atmosphere on the sets is very positive. There is a huge tree on our location and we feel like we are at the National Park. We eat lunch together, gossip a lot. We have lots of make up rooms and all of them have different names, disco rooms and all. Sometimes I feel like we are having a kitty party.”
